In this process the material pieces of the material web 2 are taken off in the axial direction of the tubular valve such that they are contiguous. A felt web 6 and a hook web 8 are taken off from the roll and subdivided into felt-strip sections and hook-strip sections 13, 14 which are adhesively bonded at a distance from and transversely to the take-off direction, side-by-side, onto the material web 2. A protective strip 17 is taken off from the roll 16 and subdivided into the individual protective leaves 23 and bonded to the flat-guided material web 2. The edges of the material web 2 are finally connected to one another to form a tube and subdivision into the individual tubular valves takes place through a cross-section.
