PURPOSE:To make it easy to hold the electrolyte without obstruction of diffusibility of gas by melting a portion of the fine granular fluororesine distributed all over the electrode plate of a fuel cell at a temperature higher than its melting point. CONSTITUTION:After distributing fine granular fluororesine e.g. fine granular ethylen tetrafluoride resine 7 all over the electrode plates 1a and 1b, a portion of the resine 7 corresponding to the bottom of the flow path 4 of the oxidizing gas and the flow path 5 of the fuel gas on the electrode plate 1a and 1b respectively is melted at a temp. higher than its melting point. By this, fine granular ethylen tetrafluoride resine on the portion of the electrode plate corresponding to the bottom of the flow path of the oxidizing gas and the fuel gas is melted at a temp. higher than its melting point, hence the electrolyte can be holded easily without obstruction of diffusibility of the gas. |
