PURPOSE:To extract a data as one word length with one access from columns in X and Y directions by storing one word length dot string in RAM chips having different dot in X and Y directions in storing a picture data in a picture storage memory 3 of a hard copy interface unit. CONSTITUTION:In case of write, the arrangement in the X direction goes to '1' word and let an input picture data 14 be iD01,ID11,iD21,iD31 from the MSB, then the iD31 is inputted to a RAM chip a10, the iD01 is to a RAMb11, the iD11 is to a RAMc12 and the iD21 is inputted to a RAMd13 according to the input data converter 24 and each data is written respectively to the address 1 of all RAM chips 10-13. In reading an address 0 by the arrangement in the direction Y, 0 is inputted to the RAMa10, 3 is to the RAMb11, 2 is to a RAMc12 and 1 is inputted to a RAMd13 according to the address converter 25. Thus, the data of the arrangement of the address 0 in the Y direction is outputted from the RAM10-13. |
