PURPOSE:To make accurate ignition timing control performable, by controlling an ignition angle so as to cause an indicator peak to become an optimum crank angle position. CONSTITUTION:A peak position of an indicator signal showing cylinder internal pressure to be outputted out of an indicator signal generating circuit 1 is detected at every engine cycle by a peak hold circuit 3 and a comparator 4. According to a peak detecting signal out of this comparator 4, a latch circuit 8 holds and outputs a data value of a crank angle position data signal emitted out of a crank angle position detector 5. This shows a crank angle position zone where the indicator peak position belongs. And, engine ignition takes place at the ignition angle conformed to the data value of the crank angle position data signal. Therefore, it comes to control the ignition timing so as to cause the indicator peak to become an optimum crank angle position as in 12-13 deg. after a top dead point while directly monitoring an engine driving state in consequence, so that accurate ignition control is made performable. |
