PURPOSE:To dispense with the machining of a guide tube as well as to aim at reduction in the cost of production, by installing a hole adjacently in a suction passage piercing through a carburetor body, while insetting the metallic sliding throttle valve guide tube, made up of forming a sliding throttle valve guide hole, in this hole. CONSTITUTION:A sliding throttle valve guide tube 1 is formed by means of machining methods such as casting, press work, drawing, bulging, etc., with metallic materials including aluminum, sheet iron and so on. In addition, a sliding throttle valve guide hole A of this guide tube 1 should be formed into size and form capable of keeping a sliding throttle valve in good conditions. On the other hand, in a carburetor body 2, there are provided with a suction passage 3 piercing through this body 2 and a sliding throttle valve guide tube insertion hole 4 which adjoins this suction passage 3 and is insertable in the guide tube 1. And, the guide tube 1 is inset in this insertion hole 4 of the carburetor body 2 from the upper opening side. With this constitution, the machining of the guide tube is no longer required, thus the cost of production is reducible.
