PURPOSE:To obtain a lens moving device of simple structure with high accuracy by moving a front lens unit onto an optical axis by the rotation of one rotating body and putting a rear lens unit on and off the optical axis at the same time. CONSTITUTION:The lens moving device is equipped with an optical device 10 which is movable on the optical axis, the rotating body 13 couples with a device 11 which moves the optical device 10 by rotation, and a stop shutter device. The rotating body 13 penetrates the stop or shutter device and is so associated as to moves the rear lens unit 15 into and out of a space on the opposite side from the optical device when viewed from the side of the stop or shutter device. Thus, the lens is moved by the rotation of one rotating body (helicoid bar) 13, so the complicate motion of the lens is controlled with the simple structure and the lens moving device which has high accuracy and saves the space and cost is obtained.
