PURPOSE:To obtain an image receiving element which prevents the generation of metallic gloss on an image surface without decreasing the image density by forming an alkali penetratable image receiving layer contg. silver deposition nuclei on a base and coating a specific mercapto compd. on such layer. CONSTITUTION:The compd. expressed by the formula [R1, R2, R3 are H, aliphat. group, for example, (substd.) alkyl of 1-14 C, substituent is a (substd.) allyl group, OC2H5, benzyl, etc.; arom. group, for example, (substd.) aryl; or (substd.) heterocylcic group and heterocycle of 5-7 membered contg. >=1 among N, O and S] is used to prevent the metallic gloss of the silver image generated on the surface of the image receiving element. The soln. of such compd. or the soln. of the compd. and binder resin is coated on the alkali penetratable image receiving layer contg. silver deposition nuclei such as Pd and Au formed on the base film. A photosensitive element for a silver diffusion transfer method is superposed on such image receiving layer. The layer contg. the above- mentioned compd. on the image receiving layer is stripped after exposure and development and the easy to see image is obtd. |
