PURPOSE:To eliminate the damage of a plunger tip and to improve the yield of a product by lowering the plunger tip and and casting sleeve prior to die opening of a casting product cast through the lower contracted part. CONSTITUTION:A block 48 is lowered by removing the oil pressure in a cylinder 51 to detach the casting sleeve 52 from a stationary sleeve 39 and at the same time the pressure oil of an injection cylinder 45 is released to lower a plunger 47 when the molten metal in a cavity 34 solidifies to the product. The piston rod of a die clamping cylinder is then retreated to move a movable platen 28 in the direction parting from a stationary platen 25, by which the dies are opened. The plunger tip and sleeve are lowered prior to die opening in the above-mentioned manner and therefore the plunger tip does not make the operation for ejecting a biscuit. The damage of the plunger tip is thus prevented.
