PURPOSE:To improve the operability of sampling copy or the like by forming a transparent sheet on which grating lines for coordinate specification are printed by a color of which transmissibity is >= a specific % and photometric transmissibity is included within the photometric sensitivity distribution to hold an original by an original press board. CONSTITUTION:The grating lines 8 printed by red, blue or white of which transmissivity is >= 50% and photometric transmissivity is included within the range of the photometric sensitivity distribution of the photosensitive body are formed on the transparent sheet 7. Then, the original press plate 4 is opened and an original 2 to be copied is inserted between an original pressing surface 4a and the transparent sheet 7. Under said status, the coordinates of an area to be copied out of an image of an original 2 are read out by referring the grating lines 8 and the coordinates are keyed through a keyboard 6 to specify them. Then, the original press board 4 is closed over a contact glass 3 and a button 5 is depressed, so that sampling copy can be executed in accordance with the specified coordinates. In this case, the grating lines 8 of the transparent sheet 7 are not copied. Thus, the operability of sampling copy or the like is improved.
