Disclosed are an apparatus for providing a real time broadcast service in a cell and a method for providing a real time broadcast service thereof, which provide the real time broadcast service adaptively according to real time moving picture usage amount of users within a cell while monitoring real time moving picture usage amount of a specific channel by a user within the cell, thereby being capable of maximizing frequency usage efficiency. The apparatus for providing the real time broadcast service in the cell according to the present invention comprises: a reception request count unit counting the number of reception requests for specific real time broadcast content in the cell with respect to corresponding broadcast reception requests; a setup value comparison unit comparing the number of the reception requests, counted by the reception request count unit, with a preset value; and a multicast broadcast unit broadcasting the corresponding broadcast content by multicast in the cell in the case that the number of the reception requests counted by the reception request count unit is equal to or greater than the preset value. |
