摘要

PURPOSE:To reduce dimensional change before and after development processing by incorporating in a hydrophilic colloidal layer a latex obtained by polymerizing a polymerizable unsaturated compound in the presence of a compound having at least one specified group in each molecule. CONSTITUTION:The latex is prepared by polymerizing the photopolymerizable unsaturated compound in the presence of a compound having at least one hydrophilic group and at least one group liable to chain transfer of a free radical in each molecule. The hydrophilic group has a negative electronic parameter pi value, and the group liable to radical chain transfer means the group having a tendency to transfer an active point, such as a free radical produced by a polymerization initiator at the time of polymerizing theunsaturated compound or transferred on a growing polymer chain. Such a group liable to chain transfer has sometimes a negative pi value, and at the time, it is preferred for such a group to be different from the hydrophilic group. thus permitting the obtained photosensitive material to be reduced in dimensional change before and after the development processing.
