PURPOSE:To prevent cutting chips from generating a recut phenomenon while remove an edge break and abnormal wearing in a cutter and extend its life, by forming a helix angle, in which a corrugated edge of a face is arranged, in a direction equal to that of the helix angle of a flute and providing a main cutting edge in an obtuse angle side of cutting edge ridge line length with a crest of the corrugated edge serving as the reference. CONSTITUTION:A cutter, forming a corrugated edge 2 to be arranged by a nick 7, arranges a helix angle alpha of said arranged edge 2 in a direction equal to that of a flute 1 in the right twist direction of a face 3. Consequently, the cutter, generating a phase shift from an end cutting edge side B toward a shank side S, performs cutting successively being distributed. A ridge line of a main cutting edge part (a), when its feed action is given, is placed in a position to the shank side S from a crest point P of the corrugated edge 2, and an outflow direction of cutting chips faces, by a helix angle of the flute 1, toward a bottom part 6 of the twist flute 1 in the direction almost at a right angle with the axial center. In this way, the cutter, preventing a recut phenomenon of the cutting chips from being generated while removing a serious obstacle of abnor mal wearing, increases a tool life.
