PURPOSE:To enable one display to arbitrary select any of a plurality of display formats by providing display means comprising a plurality of display formats which comprise analog and digital display formats and display format selector means. CONSTITUTION:An indicating recorder comprises data input means 11 for inputting a plurality of analog signals, an A/D converter 12, a data processor 13, a recorder 15, a display 17 comprising a liquid crystal display capable of digital and analog display, an operator 18 comprising a display format changeover switch 18a and a displayed channel changeover button 18b, and the like. A plurality of analog signals, when inputted to the data input means 11, are converted to digital values, which are stored in memory means 14. When a channel to be displayed is selected by the changeover button 18b, the inputted data are read out by a controller 16 and, when, for example, an analog display format is selected by the changeover switch 18a, the data are displayed on the display 17 as a bar graph. Thus, the display formats can be selected and the occurrence of a reading error can be prevented both by a simple construction.
