PURPOSE:To form a heat exchanger having an excellent performance by putting metal pipes on a wavy metal plate to figure a snaky line, then putting a thin metal plate having an adherent layer on the metal pipes, and pressing them down using a press plate capable of deforming elastically. CONSTITUTION:A thin flat metal plate 3 having a parting sheet 5 such as paper and an adherent layer 4 is formed into a wavy shape having many projections and recesses. Metal pipes 2 having a diameter N and a length shorter than the distance M between a crest 3A and an adjacent crest 3A or a recess 3B and an adjacent recess 3B of the wavy metal plate 3 are put on a thin metal plate 1 such as Al to figure a snaky line. The metal pipes 2 are bent and arranged so that the space P between parallel metal pipes 2 is larger than the distance Q between a crest 3A and a recess 3B of the plate 3. After the parting sheet 5 is torn from the plate 3, the plate 3 is put on the pipes 2 and pressed with an elastically deformable pressing plate 7 such as urethane rubber so that the plate 3 adheres and fixes to the pipes 2 and plate 1 by the adherent layer 4 to form a heat exchanger having an excellent performance.
