PURPOSE:To improve the characteristic of a magnetic head by forming a substrate with the same metallic material as that of a magnetic core and an insulating layer between the substrate and the magnetic core. CONSTITUTION:The group of the 1st and 2nd magnetic cores 1 and 2 and that of the 3rd and fourth magnetic cores 3 and 4 are jointed to the 1st substrate 5 and the 2nd substrate 6, respectively, and insulating layers 9 and 10 are provided which are composed of electromagnetic shielding layers 7 and 8 made of an Ag film and an SiO2 film. The 1st and 2nd substrates 5 and 6 are formed with metallic magnetic materials such as 'Sendust(R)', which are also used as materials of the magnetic coils 1, 2, 3 and 4. Thus, since the substrates 5 and 6 and the magnetic cores 1-4 are made of the same metallic materials, jointing them is easy and an adhesive such as a glass material with a high joint strength can be used for the jointing. Moreover due to the installation of the insulating films 9 and 10 crosstalk can be reduced, and noises from the outside can be cut by the substrates 5 and 6 and shorting blocks 16 and 17, whereby said noises are hardly led to the magnetic coils 1-4 in the inside.
