The present invention relates to a fishing reel equipped with a device for declutching the spool. Reel characterised in that the declutching device 1' is a manual, progressive declutching device, constituted essentially by an operating lever 25 mounted articulated by means of a shaft 26 on the rear part of the casing 33 of the reel and comprising a toothed sector 27, by a toothed wheel 28 engaging with the toothed sector 27 of the lever 25 and mounted fixed in rotation and free in translation, on a transmission shaft 29 which passes through the support shaft 5 of the hub 4 of the reel, this transmission shaft 29 being mounted freely rotating on the shaft 5 and fixed in translation with the latter and interacting via its free threaded end with a tapping in a shaft 30 guided in the hub 4 and integral with a flange 31 for activating the tapped clamping assembly 3 of the spool 2 by means of pushers 24, the support shaft 5 of the hub 4 being integrated with the latter by means of a flange 32. <IMAGE>
