For adapting to the need for holding rails of different length for the on-site mounting of heating pipes which are laid out before the introduction of the flooring, predetermined break points are provided along the holding rails. The predetermined break points are formed by spring slots, which are known per se and present anyway on the holding rails, in the legs of the holding rail in question as well as by stampings or openings in its web connecting the legs. <IMAGE>
