Cathodically depositable coating binder combinations

The invention relates to cathodically depositable coating binder combinations based on mixtures of base resins which are dilutable in water after proteination, and admixing resins which are practically insoluble in water under the processing conditions of electrodeposition coating, and which contain substituted urea groups and terminal ethylenic double bonds. The admixing components are obtained by reacting compounds which carry NH and/or OH groups and substituted or unsubstituted urea groups with monoisocyanate compounds which have terminal ethylenic unsaturation. The admixing components can be combined both with base resins which are crosslinked by thermal polymerisation and with base resins containing hydroxyl groups which react with double bonds. The binder combinations according to the invention exhibit improved adhesion properties.
