PURPOSE:To obtain water-insoluble aqueous gel being swollen with water, having improved water retention characteristics, dispersion stability and thickening effect, obtained by dispersing a specific amount of cellulose ether powder having low degree of substitution into water and grinding it by shearing force. CONSTITUTION:(B) 0.1-20pts.wt. cellulose ether powder (having preferably <=100mum average particle diameter) having low degree of substitution is dispersed into (A) 100pts.wt. water and ground by shearing force to give the aimed gel. |
