To machine workpiece contours curved to the outside, milling machines with internally toothed milling tools are known, for the adjustment of which relative to the workpiece, that is, in a plane transversely to the workpiece longitudinal axis, the arrangement of the tool unit in a rocker, among other things, is known, which rocker is pivotably arranged at one point on a sub-assembly which can be traversed both longitudinally and transversely relative to the workpiece. The present invention, through the cross traverse of the tool unit inside the rocker and the resulting omission of an additional cross slide, creates a substantially more compact and lighter milling machine, which in addition, when the tool unit is arranged below the rocker, permits the disposal of chips with less problems than in the prior art.
