PURPOSE:To make it possible to transplant a microorganism without damaging the surface of a culture medium of a transplanting laboratory dish for inoculation, by nipping a transplating needle detachably with a chuck mechanism and releasing the nipping after the tip of the transplanting needle approaches to the surface of the culture medium in inoculation. CONSTITUTION:A fished microorganism is inoculated into a transplanting laboratory dish (I). In the process, a chuck mechanism is used to lower a transplating needle 1 to a position where the needle 1 approaches to an agar (K) in the transplanting laboratory dish (I). The chuck mechanism is then freed to drop freely and place the transplanting needle 1 on the surface of the agar (K) without piercing the agar (K) and inoculate the microorganism thereinto without damaging the surface of the culture medium.
