RECOMBINANT DNA, PRODUCTION THEREOF, AND PRODUCTION OF BACTRERIUM OF BACILLUS GENUS AND CELLULASE CONTAINING SAME

PURPOSE:To obtain a recombinant DNA replicatable in a host bacterial cell of Bacillus genus and giving a transformed Bacillus strain producing cellulase out of the bacterial cell, by integrating a gene coding cellulase into a DNA- introducing vector. CONSTITUTION:A gene coding cellulase is integrated into a DNA-introducing vector to obtain a recombinant DNA replicatable in the cell of Bacillus genus bacterium. When a 4.8 kb DNA fragment containing the cellulase-coding gene is linked to plasmid PBD64, a recombinant DNA pBC5 is obtained. A recombinant DNA pBC51 can be produced by linking the 2.8 kb DNA fragment of an essentially cellulase-coding gene as an insertion DNA fragment to plasmid pUB110.
