PURPOSE:To enable fully utilizing the maximum separation measure between the hot platens of a hot press and efficiently produce thin fiberboards without installing a hot pressing equipment exclusively used for thin fiberboard by a method wherein laminated molded mats, in which a plurality of layers are laminated to one another through peel plies, are employed. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, fibrous material containing bonding agent and sizing agent are spread over a screen belt with a forming device in order to form a continuous fibrous mat with a desired thickness. Secondly, fibers or powder free of bonding agent are spread over the fibrous mat with a forming device in order to form a thin peel ply. Thirdly, fibrous material containing bonding agent and sizing agent are made into a fibrous mat with a desired thickness again with the forming device. A laminate interposing peel plies between a plurality of fibrous mat layers is formed by repeating one and more repetition of combination of the forming process of the peel ply and the formation of further fibrous mat layers. After being pre-pressed, the laminate is cut to size and then placed on a core plate in order to be hot-pressed. After being taken out of a hot press, the laminate is separated into a plurality of fiberboards. |
