<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of lost motion or the like based on backlash, etc., between gears, by attaching an elastic member for energizing a planetary gear in a tangential direction in common with each pitch circle of the planetary gear and a sun gear, to a boss plate of a planetary gear mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When a ring 13 is turned round and steering operation is performed, two planetary gears 5a and 5b revolves with rotation of a boss plate 11 as rotating around each of sun gears 3a and 3b at both column and pad sides. However, since the sun gear 3b at the column side is locked to a column 7, it will not rotate, therefore the sun gear 3a at the pad side also will not rotate so that it comes to nonrotation with the column 7. Accordingly, a pad part 1 being tightly attached to the sun gear 3a at the pad side also comes to nonrotation. In addition, since each of these planetary gears 5a and 5b is engaged with these sun gears in a state of being energized, one tooth 23 of each of these planetary gears 5a and 5b come into contact with both sides 26a and 26b of each tooth space 24 of these sun gears 3a and 3b.</p> |
