PURPOSE:To enable prevention of slip-off of a shaft, by a method wherein insertion of shaft causes automatic release of a non-holding position holding device, and a position is automatically held by a holding position holding device. CONSTITUTION:A tapered part 28 at the forward end of an inserted spline shaft 6 pressed a set ball 20 externally against the force of a spring ring 18. As a result, the spring ring 18 is slipped off from a spring ring set groove 19 and is pressed by the set ball 20. The spring ring 18, pressing a set ring 8 about to be moved through the force of a return spring 12, is slipped off from the spring ring set groove 19. Thus, the set ball 20, projected outwardly through the working of a spline shaft 6, can be moved rightward, and this enables prevention of slip-off of a shaft. |
