PURPOSE:To avoid phase jump by using a regenerative impulse so as to set initially a tap coefficient for automatic equalization and setting a timing phase to a phase rotation in response to a training signal. CONSTITUTION:When the training signal is given from a sending side via a line, band limit is applied by a band pass filter 1, the signal is digitized by an A/D converter 2, demodulated by a demodulation section 3 and waveform- shaped by a roll-off filter section 5. A sequence 18 uses at first the training signal to apply initial set of an AGC section 8. After the output of the roll-off section 5 is subject to automatic gain control by the AGC section 8, a timing extraction section 4 extracts the timing component and normalized impulse XJ is regenerated from the demodulation output of the AGC section 8 by the impulse recovery section 12, the complex conjugate is obtained by the impulse XJ and set as a tap coefficient CJ of the 1st equalizing section 13. |
