发明名称 MEASUREMENT OF CONCENTRATION OF LIQUID BY ULTRASONIC WAVE
摘要 PURPOSE:To measure concentration of liquid at high accuracy in real time without sampling the liquid by emitting ultrasonic wave into the liquid and detecting echo of scattered wave from other substance dispersed in the liquid. CONSTITUTION:When ultrasonic wave is emitted from a probe 2 into muddy water 1 in which other substance 4 is mixed dispersedly, the emitted ultrasonic wave hits the other substance 4 and attenuated gradually while scattering. The larger the quantity of other substance 4 in the muddy water 1 the larger the degree of attenuation as scattering of ultrasonic wave increases.The probe 2 is connected to the receiving section 7 of a measuring instrument 11 through a cable 5, and the receiving section 7 receives process of the ultrasonic wave emitted into the muddy water 1 disappears after hitting against the other substance 4 and repeating scattering and attenuation. A measuring section 9 analyzes signals from an amplifying section 8, calculates concentration of the muddy water 1, and an indicator10 indicates signals from the amplifying section 8.
