PURPOSE:To make it possible to convert the height of the main body of an armrest with its rotation so as to control the height easily, by forming the connecting surface between the main body of the armrest and the installing body in an incline, and pivotting the main body rotatable to the connecting surface of the installing body. CONSTITUTION:An installing body (b) to which the main body (a) of an armrest is installed is fixed horizontally to a seat back, and the connecting surface of both members (a) and (b) is formed in an incline from top to bottom. At the main body (a) side of the connection is furnished a hollow portion, in which a seating plate 11 together with a reinforcement a4, is fixed to a core body a3 with a screw 12. The seating plate 11 is welded to a ring form gearing member 13, along which a supporting member 14 of the insulating body (b) can slide. In such a way, the main body (a) is installed rotatable around the connection to the installing body (b). Therefore, when the main body (a) is rotated 180 deg., the height of the main body (a) is to be converted, since it is connected in an incline with the installing body (b), the height of the main body (a) being converted easily.
