PURPOSE:To decrease the amt. of the oxygen to be admitted into a sensor from the outside so that the sensor functions as an oxygen pump even in a high oxygen atmosphere by forming a porous ceramic layer so as to cover the entire part of the oxygen pump. CONSTITUTION:A sensitive body 2 of the sensor is formed of the mixture or sintered body mixture composed of the oxide expressed by the formula I and the oxide expressed by the formula II. The oxygen pump consisting of a solid electrolyte 3 of stabilized zirconia and electrodes 3, 5 is provided to the surface of the sensitive body 2 and the porous ceramic layer is formed to cover the entire part. |
