PURPOSE:To control paper feed by judging a near paper end according to the number of the succeeding encoder pulses. CONSTITUTION:The number of transfer papers actually fed is adapted to correspond to the number of encoder pulses produced then so that how many numbers of pulses for paper types mounted on a tray at present show the paper end can be for-cast. And when 20 sheets of transfer paper are fed, a variable receiving the pulse number produced from the encoder 11 is assumed ENDCNTR. When the pulse number produced in the ascent of the tray from the lower limit to the upper one is assumed 1000 and the encoder pulse becomes larger than the value of 1000-ENDCNRT, the transfer is stopper assuming that the number of the residual sheets are reduced less the 20 sheets.
