PURPOSE:To prevent frictional noise, oscillation, and the like, from being generated, by using a substance in the specified range of hardness for the frictional plate of an ultrasonic wave motor. CONSTITUTION:A linear ultrasonic wave motor is organized with an elastic oscillation unit (stationary unit) 1 and an object (sliding unit) 2 in pressure contact with the unit 1. So far as the motor is concerned, oscillation is applied to the stationary unit 1 by a piezoelectrical transducer to generate elastic wave, and the sliding unit 2 in pressure contact with the unit 1 is moved in the direction opposite to the propagation direction of the elastic wave. The stationary unit 1 is formed with a square duralumin rod, and the sliding unit 2 is formed with a main sliding unit 2a made of S45C or the like, and a frictional plate 2b fitted on the stationary unit side. Then, for the material of the frictional plate 2b, hard rubber, plastics, composite material including them, or the like having hardness less than 100 and more than 94 of the spring system hardness A type provided in JIS K6301 is used. As the result, frictional noise, oscillation, and the like are prevented from being generated, and great torque and thrust can be obtained. |
