PURPOSE:To enable rewinding under a low tensile force and prevent the position of the end part of a sheet from being shifted by bringing primary and secondary touch rollers into contact with primary and secondary rolls respectively, and normally rotating or reversing said primary and secondary touch rollers, to carry out the rewinding of said sheet. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet S is delivered from a primary raw fabric roll 1 to be wound up on a secondary sheet roll 2, the core C' of the roll 2 is rotated by means of a motor M2, and a motor M1 is also normally rotated together with the motor M2, to rotate primary and secondary touch rollers 3, 4 which are in contact with the rolls 1, 2 respectively, at the same peripheral speed as that of the roll 2. The roll 1 is followingly rotated by friction accompanying the rotation of the roller 3. Accordingly, since both the roller 3, 4 are rotated at the same peripheral speed as that of the roll 2 by means of the motor M1, even when the sheet S is made travel at a high speed, the rollers 3, 4 are not affected by the inertia of the rolls 1, 2, securely rewinding the sheet S. Also, the quantity of air being drawn in between the layers of sheets is restricted, preventing the position of the end part of the sheet from being shifted.
