PURPOSE:To secure a necessary and sufficient self-timer operation time for photography by varying the self-timer operation time according to the focal length of a photographic lens. CONSTITUTION:When a self-timer photography selection switch 5 is pressed, a controller 1 sends out the state of a telephoto/wide-angle selection switch 4, i.e. numeric data corresponding to a focal length signal to a presettable counter 7. The value of the numeric data preset in the presettable counter 7 which functions as a self-timer is increased for telephotography and decreased for wide-angle photography to vary the length of the self-timer operation time according to the focal length. Consequently, such a failure in self-timer photography that a photographer can not move to a photographic position until a photograph is taken after the self-timer photography selection switch 5 is operated is eliminated.
