发明名称 METHOD FOR PRODUCING 'GO-OH' FROM LIVING CATTLE
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain artificial GO-OH (Bezoar Bovis; gallstone of Bos taurus) useful as an analgesic, cardiotonic, hematogenic agent, remedy for hepatitis, etc., and having sure and high quality, from living cattle. CONSTITUTION:A living cattle (e.g. Holstein, Gandhi, Short-horn, etc.) of 12-15 month old is subjected to ventrotomy to expose the gall-bladder, or the position of the gallbladder is ascertained by the external indirect inspection method using e.g. X-ray, ultrasonic radiation, NMR, etc. A small amount of at least one substance selected from the slice of gallbladder of other cattle, croton oil and hepatic cell is injected into the gallbladder by an injector from outside of the living body or in the body by surgical operation. The injected substance forms a nucleus for the growth of a gallstone. After suturing the cattle in the case of being subjected to ventrotomy, the cattle is breeded for a definite period and slaughtered and GO-OH is taken out of the gallbladder. The obtained GO-OH has extremely high quality characterized by high Ca pyruvate content, yellow general color, odorlessness and low specific gravity.
