OIL FEEDING APPARATUS IN TAPPET MECHANISM EQUIPPED WITH HYDRAULIC TAPPET FOR INTERNAL-COMBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE:To permit the certain and smooth operation of a tappet mechanism by installing the first oil feeding system which supplies oil into a hydraulic tappet and the bearings of tappet cam shafts and the second oil feeding system which supplies oil into the connection part between tappet cams and cam followers. CONSTITUTION:A suction valve 8 and an exhaust valve 9 are opening/closing- driven in a prescribed timing by a tappet mechanism 11 equipped with a hydraulic tappet 10. The first oil feeding system L1 which supplies working oil into the hydraulic tappet 10 and supplies lubricating oil into the bearings 27 and 28 of the tappet cam shafts 17 and 18 and the second oil feeding system L2 for supplying lubricating oil into the connection part between the tappet cams 19 and 20 and the cam followers 15 and 16 are installed onto a cylinder 2. Thus, the certain and smooth operation of the tappet mechanism equipped with hydraulic tappet can be obtained.
