PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and storage stability and to simplify image forming operation by forming on a support a photosensitive layer contg. photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent, a polymerizable compound, and a dye image forming material, and a combination of said polymerizable compound and said dye image forming material in the same capsules. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contg. photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent, the polymerizable compound, and the dye image forming material, and a combination of said polymerizable compound and said dye image forming material in the same capsules is formed on the support. Oxidation reduction reaction is caused between the silver salt and the reducing agent by the catalyst action of the latent image nuclei of the photosensitive silver halide produced by exposure to light as an optical sensor, and polymerization reaction is induced by free radicals produced in this reaction as a polymerization initiator, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive material to be enhanced in sensitivity and storage stability, and to be simplified in image forming operation. |
