PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition containing a basic active component of agricultural chemical, a metallic salt and optionally a montmorillonite mineral, effective to control the rate of release of the active agricultural chemical component and capable of achieving the durable activity, the prevention of environmental pollution and the mitigation of phytotoxicity, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective solid agricultural chemical composition contains (A) 0.5-30(wt)% basic active component of agricultural chemical (e.g. tetrahydropyrroloquinoline compound, benzothiazole compound, etc.), (B) 1-20% metal salt (e.g. sulfate or halide of Al, Cr, Co, etc.) and 15-50% montmorillonite mineral. The composition is applied in the form of granule or fine powder and the granule can be produced e.g. by mixing the active component, the metallic salt and, if necessary, the montmorillonite mineral with a carrier and adjuvant, etc., crushing the mixture and kneading and granulating the product.
