A disazo dyestuff for cellulose-containing fibre is represented by the formula <CHEM> wherein D is substituted or unsubstituted phenyl, pyridyl, thiazolyl or benzothiazolyl: R<1> is cyano or alkoxycarbonyl; Y is hydrogen; chlorine, methyl or acylamino, R<3> is substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, cyclohexyl, alkenyl or aryl; Z is - NR<3>R<4> or -OR<5> wherein R<3>, R<4> and R<5> are each hydrogen or an alkyl, alkenyl, cyclohexyl, aryl or aralkyl group which may be substituted by cyano, hydroxy, alkoxy or dialkylamino, or NR<3> and R<4> may together form a 5-membered or 6-membered nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring: A is <CHEM> B is oxygen or -NH-; and X is fluorine or chlorine. |
