PRODUCTION OF VINCAALKALOID

摘要

PURPOSE:To efficiently produce a large amount of vincaalkaloid useful as a remedy for acute leukemia, etc., by cultivating a specific plant belonging to the genus Vinca in a medium. CONSTITUTION:A DNA fragment of a plasmid (e.g., pRi 15834) possessed by a mold (e.g., Agrobacterium rhizogenes 11325) is integrated into a genome DNA of a plant (e.g., Vinca rosea) of the genus Vinca by protoplast method, to give a transformed plant capable of producing vincaalkaloid. Then, the transformed plant is cultivated in a medium consisting of a carbon source (e.g., molasses), a nitrogen source (e.g., urea), an inorganic substance (e.g., KCl), an auxin, etc., at 10-40 deg.C at 2-8.0pH under a light condition at 0-8lux for 5-60 days, a vincaalkaloid (e.g., vindoline) is formed and accumulated, it is separated and collected.
