PURPOSE:To enable printing up to the final page of paper and to make it possible to print a massage such that printing business continues to the next paper on the residual page, by providing a paper terminal detection part for detecting the terminal of paper, a means for storing the length of one page, a means for counting the number of residual pages and a means for informing data to a data processor. CONSTITUTION:When printing business is started and the terminal of paper is detected by a paper residue detector 3, a terminal detection pulse 3a is generated and a residual page counter 4 is operated to compare the signal showing the number N1 of lines in a page line number counter with the line number signal 2 showing the number N2 of lines between a printing part and a paper terminal detector and calculates the number of pages up to the terminal of the paper. The number of residual pages are informed to a data processor through an interface part 5 and the data processor issues a printing and line feed order corresponding to the informed number of pages to make it possible to perform printing business up to the final page of the paper. Further, by containing a message such that the paper was finished and printing business continues to the next paper as printing data, it is made possible to administer to the convenience of the arrangement of the printing result after printing business. |
