DETECTING DEVICE FOR INCOMING WAVE SIGNAL

PURPOSE:To easily detect the level of an incoming signal by controlling the timing of sampling when outputs of a switch array corresponding to a linear array are sampled and obtaining real part and imaginary part data. CONSTITUTION:A sample and hold circuit which samples outputs of the switch array corresponding to the linear array samples the outputs at the 1st timing and the 2nd timing which shifts from the 1st timing by a quarter as large as the wavelength of the incoming radio wave signal within the switching interval of a switch. Data sampled at the 1st timing is stored in a real part memory and data sampled at the 2nd timing is stored in an imaginary part memory. Those data are processed by fast Fourier transform FFT to obtain N pieces of frequency spectrum data with respect to N vibrators. Then, the level of the signal at the angle of incidence of the incoming wave is calculated from the obtained data.
