PURPOSE:To decrease running costs, by forming and storing ice in a heat accumulating tank at the time of cooling by utilizing electric power at night, and storing warm water at the time of heating. CONSTITUTION:At the time of cooling, refrigerant is compressed to a saturated vapor pressure corresponding to a condensing temperature by a compressor 3, sent to a condenser 4 and liquefied. The pressure of the condensed liquid is reduced to the saturated vapor pressure corresponding to a temperature, which is 1-2 deg.C lower than the freezing point of brine in an expanding value. Thereafter, the liquid is atomized into a heat accumulating tank 1 through nozzles 7. The refrigerant liquid absorbs the heat from the brine and is evaporated. The refrigerant reaches the sucking side of the compressor. The heat of the brine in the heat accumulating tank 1 is absorbed by the vapor of the refrigerant liquid, and ice crystal is yielded in the brine. At the time of heating, cooling water (brine) used in the condenser 4 is sent to the heat accumulating tank 1 by a cooling water pump 9 and returned to the condenser 4 again. When the water passes the condenser 4, the heat of the refrigerant is absorbed and the temperature is increased. Therefore in the heat accumulating tank 1, the heat yielded in condensing the refrigerant is accumulated. The above described operation is conducted using midnight electric power service.
