PURPOSE:To shorten a distance between an illuminating light source and a real field and to obtain even and bright illumination for observation by forming an illuminating light flux passage on the outside of an observation passage in which an observation optical system including an objective lens is formed and arranging the light source along the peripheral direction of the light flux passage. CONSTITUTION:A microscope body 20 has an outer cylinder 20a and an inner cylinder 20b and a lens holder 22 is screwed into the leading end of the outer cylinder 20a. The objective lens 24 is fixed on the inner cylinder 22a of the lens holder 22 and a full mirror 26 is fixed on the inside of the outer cylinder 22b at a prescribed angle. The inside of the inner cylinder 20b of the microscope body 20 is used as the observation passage 28 for the observation optical system including the objective lens 24 and a ring-like passage formed between the outer periphery of the inner cylinder 20b and the inner periphery of the outer cylinder 20a is used as the illuminating light flux passage 30.
