PURPOSE:To enable instantaneous display of distance informations of any point, by installing observation means issuing out informations of 3-dimensional shape in the range subjected to measurement, storing means of informations regarding the reference co-ordinate points and arithmetic means of the positions for measurement. CONSTITUTION:A finder 1 fixes the position by observing the specified measuring point inside the measuring range. A pan-tilting head 2 mounts the finer 1 so as to tilt it to the pan and tilt. Detectors 3, 4 detect pan angle and tilt angle respectively. Information transmitting lines 3', 4' transmit pan angle and tilt angle respectively. The input switch 5 is meant for the information input instructions and the information transmitting line 5' is for transmission for them. A processing means 6 is equipped with storing and arithmetic means for display 7 of the resulty through arithmetic operations. With this kind of construction, such 3-dimensional information as topograph, shape, etc. is measured preliminarily and by the subsequent remote controls, distance information, etc. of an arbitrary point can be measured.
