PURPOSE:To make both working and assembling operations ever so easy as well as to aim at the whirl-stop of a shift fork in an effective manner, by forming a slip groove at the side of shift movement to a two-wheel drive of the shift fork, while fitting the pin member fitly attached to a fork rod, in this groove. CONSTITUTION:A shift fork 2, for shifting from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive and vice versa, is installed at the left of a fork rod 1 free of movement in an axial direction. And, a shift fork 4 for shifting as 4H-4N-4L in a state of being shifted to the four-wheel drive is tightly attached to the fork rod 3 parallelly installed in the rod 1. And, when the fork rod 1 is moved to the right, that is, to the side of shifting to the two-wheel drive, a spring 18 is compressed via a stepped collar 19 and there is provided with a waiting mechanism making the fork rod 1 alone relatively shiftable to the shift form 2. Then, a slit groove 22 is formed at the side of the shift movement to the two-wheel drive of the shift fork 2, whereby the spring pin 24 fitly attached to the fork rod 1 is fitted in this groove.
