PURPOSE:To improve the contrast and the color purity of the titled electrode using the whole picture image to a display by increasing a thickness of an insulating layer larger than that of the electrode, and by directly providing the electrode on the substrate which is absent from the insulating layer, thereby isolating and insulating the electrodes each other in three dimentions. CONSTITUTION:The electrode 2 composed of Cr, Ni is formed on the substrate body 1. The insulating layer 3 having the thicker thickness than that of the electrode 2 and the electroconductive film 4 are provided on the electrode 2 followed by coating it with a photoresist 5. And then, the electrode pattern is exposed and developed. The electroconductive film 4 and the insulating film 3 are etched to form the electrode pattern, and finally, the photoresist is dis solved and stripped. A polyimide or SiO2 are used as the insulating material. The gap between the adjacent electrodes is burried with the insulating material, thereby closely forming the electrode pattern and entirely removing an abnormal ity such as a short circuit. The surfac of substrate is effectively utilized as the electrode pattern, thereby removing a non-electrode area on the substrate and the gap between the picture images resulted in enabling to use the whole picture image to the display. |
