PURPOSE:To remove flared components in a horizontal and a vertical directions of a picture plane and at the same time emphasize the outline of the picture plane in parallel by providing in parallel an outline correcting signal forming circuit and a flare correcting signal forming circuit. CONSTITUTION:A digital signal input is initially applied to a compensating delay device 25. The compensating delay device 25 is used for matching signals in phase of an outline correcting filter system (l) and a flare correcting filter system (m) by a signal line (n) and subtracting circuits 26a, 26b of respective references. A signal from the signal line l passes through vertical and horizontal outline correcting FIR filters 21, 22 and is inputted to the subtracting circuit 26a and subtracted from the reference signal. Thereby, a really effective high pass characteristic for correcting the outline is obtained. The signal from the signal line m passes through flare correcting composite IIR filters 23, 24 and is subtracted by the reference signal in the subtracting circuit 26b and the correcting signal of high pass characteristic is obtained. |
