PURPOSE:To suppress a crack, generated in a cut part, to a minimum limit and linearly cut a plate, by providing an elastic material in a fixed blade supporting bed and interposing with a movable blade the amorphous alloy plate further mounting the movable blade in such a manner that its point edge crosses with the point edge of a fixed blade like scissors. CONSTITUTION:A cutter, providing in a fixed blade supporter 2 a mounting bed part 2a while an elastic material 12 for placing an amorphous alloy plate 3, positions an upper surface of the elastic material 12 to be leveled to a plane equal to the upper end surface of a point of a fixed blade 1. While the cutter tilts the bottom end part of a movable blade supporter 5 and a movable blade 4 so that its point edge 4a crosses with the point edge of the fixed blade 1. Accordingly, if the movable blade spporter 5 is lowered, the cutter, first retaining the amorphous alloy plate 3 by a retaining head 9 next overlapping the movable blade 4 with the fixed blade 1 transferring a crossing point successively in the direction of blade width like scissors, cuts the amorphous alloy plate from its one end toward the other end.
