PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition of low-temperature curability, outstanding in flexibility, solvent resistance, etc., high in preventive effect for coating film sags, etc., comprising vehicle containing specific melamine- formaldehyde resin, hydroxyl group-contg. vinyl copolymer resin, etc. in specified proportion. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprising vehicle containing (A) 5-50wt% of a melamine-formaldehyde resin in which >=50mol of a melamine- formaldehyde compound of formula (one-four of R1-R6 are H, the rest being CH2OR'; R' is H or >=3C alkyl; ratio of alkyl-contg. CH2OR' to the whole CH2OR' is 0.7-1.0) is contained and (B) 95-50wt. of a blend of (i) copolymer resin from vinyl monomer containing at least one kind of hydroxyl, carboxyl, glycidyl, methylolamide, and alkoxymethylolamide groups, (ii) alkyd resin containing hydroxyl or carboxyl group and/or (iii) polyester resin.
