A multi-axle steering system for vehicles is provided with a mechanical/hydraulic steering linkage (4-13) for one axle (1) and a hydrostatic steering connection, provided with a blocking device (3), for a second axle (2), which steering connection can be actuated by means of a steering linkage with a second working cylinder (16). The blocking device has a blocking cylinder (3) which is arranged in the steering linkage (19) of the second axle (2) and in which a securing element (20) which is connected to the steering linkage and adjustable therewith can be mechanically locked by means of a blocking component (21) which can be engaged and disengaged. <IMAGE>
